How Much Does Social Media Management Cost in Scottsdale? (2026 Guide)

Oct 5, 2026

If you've tried to price out social media management in Scottsdale, you've probably noticed that most agencies won't tell you. Of the local marketing and video shops we looked at, the large majority were quote-only. That makes it hard to know whether a proposal is fair, so here's what the published numbers in the Phoenix area actually look like, and what moves them.

What local agencies charge

Among Phoenix-area agencies that do publish prices, full social media management runs from a little over $3,000 a month to around $6,600, depending on how many platforms are covered and how much content is produced. Email marketing from the same kind of agency sits around $2,500 a month, and influencer or user-generated content programs start near $2,800 to $3,300.

Below that tier are smaller, hours-based shops. One Scottsdale studio publishes retainers from $500 to $1,000 a month for about 12 hours of work, rising past $1,700 for 23 hours or more, usually on a 12-month term. That works out to roughly $40 to $85 an hour, and it can be a good fit for a business that mainly needs a steady posting schedule rather than a full content and ads operation.

What actually changes the price

Four things drive most of the difference between quotes. The first is the number of platforms: Instagram alone is a different job from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. The second is content volume and type, since a dozen designed graphics a month costs far less to produce than weekly short-form video. The third is community management, meaning whether someone answers comments and messages every day or only posts. The fourth is whether paid ads are included, which brings in strategy, testing, and reporting on top of the posting itself.

Ad spend is almost always billed separately from management. A quote that looks low may not include it, and a quote that looks high may be bundling it in, so check which one you're looking at before comparing.

Questions to ask before you sign

Who owns the accounts and the content if you part ways? (The answer should be you.) How long is the contract, and is it month-to-month? What's in a monthly report, and does it tie back to leads or sales rather than just followers? Who writes the captions, and will they sound like your business? And is there an onboarding or setup fee on top of the monthly price?

Published, upfront pricing is still rare in this market. If an agency can explain exactly what you get for the number, that's usually a good sign about how they'll run the account too.
